Diana + Rob

I must admit that Rivervale Barn is one of my absolute favourite venues in my area – even though it’s a barn I just love how light and airy it is, the gardens and just gorgeous, it doesn’t have lots of different rooms which means you and your guests stay together (great for documentary photography) and the staff are amazingly attentive and friendly.
Here’s the highlights of Diana + Rob’s day – with their backgrounds it was a unique fusion of all things Scottish and Italian! But first of all the happy couple have provided some insight into their day.

THEIR DAY IN THEIR WORDS

“Many people say that your wedding day is the best day of your life and now as “Newly Weds” we couldn’t agree more.

We spent so long planning every detail of the day agonising over favours, colours, stationary, centre pieces and table plans, and yes all these things helped to make the day beautiful however on the day the smaller details became unimportant and the only thing that mattered was celebrating our love with the people who matter to us most.

We got married on the 16th of September 2017 in Rivervale Barn in Yateley. This custom built country barn had everything we needed to make our day perfect. Set on the banks of the Blackwater River, it was the perfect back drop to all of our photographs and the staff did all that they could to ensure that everything was perfect, not only did they look after us but went the extra mile to assist our parents, our guests and our suppliers.

We booked many fantastic suppliers for our wedding who we would highly recommend, however our Photographer Alistair Jones was in a league of his own. From the moment we met him we felt completely comfortable in his company and totally reassured that he would create beautiful pictures. He spent time with us leading up to the wedding getting to know us with an engagement shoot meaning that on the day he captured our personalities perfectly. His photos are very artistic and original. He managed to capture every laugh, tear and smile without us even realising he was there. Allister and his assistants were incredibly professional and organised and made the whole process very easy. Our wedding album is now something we cherish and look for any excuse to show off. When we met Alistair he was our photographer but now feel he is more of a friend, we have recommended his work to so many of our soon to be wed friends and know we will want him to capture every big event in our lives.”
