The St Pauls Cathedral Wedding of Rachael & Phill
What an occasion this was – a wedding ceremony in one of the world’s most iconic landmarks followed by a river cruise down the Thames and finally to round it all off an evening reception at Easthampstead Park. All very grand but at the centre of it all were 2 of the most down-to-earth and so easy and fun people to work with, Rachael & Phill.
This was actually my second time of photographing a wedding at St Paul’s, although no less nerve-wracking! In a way I probably felt even more nervous as this time I knew what to expect! The only thing I was hoping for this time was that they had relaxed their rules slightly, enabling me to capture the actual ceremony in the OBE chapel. But that wasn’t to be. However the magnificent backdrops and the 15 or so minutes we had between the ceremony and the cruise more than made up for it.
I guess with everything so meticulously planned the only thing that couldn’t be counted on was the mid September weather….but even that blessed this wonderful occasion from start to finish.
And just before we get on to the photos here’s some lovely words from the happy couple
“Thank you for your incredible photos that you captured on our wedding day. We literally spent hours upon hours searching for the perfect photographer; several spreadsheets later we decided to phone you and are very glad we did! You have been great to work with and so helpful from start to finish. On the day itself, you were a real professional and had clearly done your homework on finding those epic shots. Absolutely beautiful work; I can’t quite believe we’re the couple in them! We are now enjoying showing off the stunning album designed by Nicola. We love it! Thank you!”
