Kew Gardens Wedding Photographer :: Lou & Nas

Aaw, the lovely Lou & Nas, I am so pleased to bring you their absolutely gorgeous Kew Gardens wedding, held on one of the many blisteringly hot blue sky days that seemed to last forever during this record breaking summer. Well sadly those days didn’t actually last forever and as I write this I’m now sat here on one very cold (but actually quite nice!) December day – albeit being warmed by their photos and lovely memories of what was the most wonderful wedding to capture.

As soon as I received Lou’s lovely enquiry (her first contact being a lovely phone call – so rare these days but actually spoke volumes about her as being the lovely, genuine and personable lady that I got to know her to be) and she said she was looking for a Kew Gardens Wedding Photographer I was immediately transported back to my Cubs and School trip days! It had never entered my mind that this Royal Botanical Gardens adorning the River Thames in West London could be used as a wedding venue! Therefore one of the first things for us (myself and Nicola) to do before their wedding was to go and view it from my wedding photographer’s perspective which is somewhat different than that of my 10 year old self (but just as excitable!!).

I remember asking Lou about their choice of venue during one of our many subsequent phone calls. She said it was simply down to the fact that as she grew up in the leafy Hampshire countryside they knew they wanted quite a rural feel. But owing to the fact that they and many of their friends were living in London it needed to be very accessible. Hence with Kew being situated on the District Tube Line it quickly presented itself as being the ideal choice!

Anyhow, here’s the story of their actual day in photos…Enjoy

“I wanted to take the opportunity (again!) to say how privileged we were to have Alistair Jones, Ideal Imaging, photograph our special day. His photographs are truly beautiful, and capture the essence of our wedding; a day filled with fun, laughter and surprise. He took the time to get to know us as a couple, and worked with us to create the gallery and album we wanted. I can’t tell you how many comments we have received about the photos! One of our favourite images captures an interaction between our mums, and means the world to us. Thank you Alistair”
