WHEN SHOULD I GET IN TOUCH?
Most couples book me 1 – 2 years in advance. Therefore if someone has recommended me to you, you love my style and are inspired by what I can do for you I’d simply advise that you get in touch as soon as you have a date in mind. You’ve no idea how much it hurts when I get lovely, enthusiastic enquiries only to have to turn around and say ‘sorry, I’m already booked’! With your photographer secured you can then focus all you creative energy on all the details that are going to make your wedding day uniquely yours, safe in the knowledge that they will be captured beautifully.
You should find most of the information you require on the website. You can get some added inspiration from my blog posts too, particularly those featuring full weddings. If you would like to meet up then I’d love that and we can chat about your ideas and requirements further.
Let’s meet up
The 3 c’s – Consultation, Coffee & Chat.
Whether you choose one of my standard collections or something more bespoke, we’ll look to meet up 3 or 4 months prior to your wedding. For me this is a great opportunity to learn all about what you’ve got planned, the timings, the logistics, the make-up of your wedding party, key people and of course more about the two of you! Basically all that you can tell me that will help to make your wedding photography the best it can be whilst ensuring you are able to enjoy your day to the full with your family and friends. It’s also a great opportunity to talk about your specific requirements and ask any questions.
We’ll also spend some time running through the album design process, run through some sample albums and options you’ll have such as parent & fine art albums. There will be so much to look forward to with your album and no doubt this will only serve to add to that excitement!
You’ll love this..
Whether you have it as part of your package or you add it on as an extra we’ll conduct this at the same time as your consultation, ideally at your venue. Most couples find the shoot a lot of fun and a lovely way to capture their love and excitement ahead of the big day.
Of course there are other benefits too – we’ll get to know each other a little more and the gorgeous images we’ll create will give you added confidence and leave you feeling nice and relaxed when it comes to being in front of the camera on your wedding day. Likewise, you’ll have some images that will be perfect for save the dates, invitations, your wedding website, perhaps even a signing frame and of course for putting up in your home.
Time to say
We arrive at your bridal preparations 2-3 hours before your ceremony whilst my second photographer (if you choose to have one included in your package) will meet the groomsmen an hour so before they leave.
The coverage isn’t time-bound and we’ll stay right up to your first dance and beyond, capturing the party really getting underway with the first few dances, its always such a special part of the day.
But then there’s more: I’ll eventually put the camera down, stand back and watch all your reactions as I show you some of your wedding photographs for the first time in the form of the same day slideshow that I would have been busy working on whilst you were eating!
Now to enjoy EVERY MOMENT
of your day over and over again…
Whilst you’re relaxing on your honeymoon or taking some time out at home I’ll be processing all of your wedding photos, applying my signature colour and black & white editing techniques to provide an optimal finish. Typically you can expect to receive your collection of 500-800 lovingly retouched images in an secure on-line gallery within approximately 1 week of your wedding. Once you’ve had time to enjoy them you’ll get the opportunity to proudly share them with your family and friends. You’ll subsequently receive them on a bespoke USB memory stick, ready for your personal printing.
Your Stunning Album
Editing all of your images and giving you a digital gallery to look at on the screen is only the start of it. I want to design and create something for you that you will be able to feel and hold. Something tangible and durable. Something to bring back all those memories and keep those stories alive forever more. This is your album. Your first family heirloom. Your legacy to pass on down through the generations.
An album is so important and is what a lot of my clients seek me out for. Therefore it’s included in all the collections that I offer. We’ll design it for you, you’ll approve it or make changes and ultimately it will be printed and bound using the highest quality materials by a leading lab.
