Hayley & Pat’s Festival Wedding at Home in Tipi Tents

Ask any photographer what’s the most heart-warming, back-slapping, ego boosting enquiry to receive for a wedding and it would probably be something along these lines: ‘Hi Alistair, this past weekend we were guests of A and K at their wedding at The Elvetham, and love the few photographs of the day which we’ve seen already. Our own festival wedding is taking place next summer, and we’d love to know if you’re available’. They will also go on to tell you the big panic that’s suddenly induced….yes, the rush to see if they are available!

Fortunately for me I was available and my excitement levels reached fever pitched over the following 12 months. Why? Well, having had a blast at Andy & Kierra’s wedding I just knew what an awesome crowd they were going to be and that’s always the biggest factor.

I was also massively inspired by certain nuggets of information which were drip fed to me along the way – such as it was to be a Glastonbury themed wedding at home, and that their reception would take place in around tipi tents which were going to be situated at their family stud (The Spanish Bit Riding School) in Dorney, over looked by Windsor Castle. I was even charged by the fact that the guys would be getting ready in a former convent down Hatch Lane in Windsor where my Nan used to work many moons ago!

Well, with my adrenaline levels having reached an all-time high, I’m sure, these are some of the images that I produced on the day. Enjoy!
