Sophie + Stephany
These two, how gorgeous are they? I was chuffed to bits when Sophie contacted me only a few months ago to say that following their same sex wedding in Las Vegas last year (it later transpired that Stephany was from Wyoming so perhaps that was a nice added reason to have it on the other side of the pond). They wanted to have a wedding celebration for all their UK family and friends and there was no better place that Pitt Hall Barn.
Happily we were available (well, me for the first part and my second photographer Josh to cover the evening). The only thing I was nervous of were the light levels for the late afternoon shoot around the farm and also being October it might be a tad cold – especially for the ladies as they were planning on wearing their lovely shortish wedding dresses that they had worn on their big day back in Vegas where of course it was a lot warmer!
Still, when it came to it they, Sophie and Stephany, were absolutely brilliant as we made our way around the barn, to the famous old rusty cow shed and eventually up to the gorgeous little copse where Pitt Hall host their outdoor ceremonies. It was only the previous weekend when they had their wedding open day and thankfully all the bales of hay were still there, all neatly stacked up in the gazebo! One look at those and I knew we could use them to sit on…and to lie on (using the lovely orange blanket that they had brought along!).
Anyhow, enjoy the photos and as ever thanks for stopping by.
