So, almost the end of another year in the sun…and the rain…and the snow! Another 12 months of being immersed in so many beautiful stories that’s had my heart bursting, my adrenaline levels off the scale and my camera in it’s element! It’s been a lot of fun…and then some.
I’m absolutely delighted to bring you this collection of ‘my best wedding photography’ of the year. I’ve used inverted commas because it’s actually not necessarily my best. Odd, right? No, not really. Rather, this is a collection of my favourite moments. Moments and memories that brought the biggest smile to my face as I trawled through the 100,000 or so photos that I’ve had the absolute pleasure of capturing through the year. Ask any marketing ‘expert’ and they will tell you to try and narrow down a collection for such a blog post to about 50. Maybe a 100 at push. They will tell you that ‘less is more’. But to quote Erin, one of my brides whose wedding we had featured in Boho Weddings ‘more is more and less is a bore’. That’s why I’ve ended up at 193 photos!
Once again I’ve travelled far and wide and photographed at a number of new venues such as Kew Gardens, Stonehenge, Amberley Castle Coltsford Mill, Silchester House, Sopley Mill, Elmers Court, Cheltenham Chase & Arundel Cathedral. Then there were some old favourites – Wotton House, Northbrook Park, Rivervale Barn, Clock Barn & Wasing Park. And of course my second homes Tylney Hall, The Elvetham and Pitt Hall Barn! Oh and last but by no means least I’ve also gone off-piste and had an absolute ball photographing woodland weddings and festival weddings in teepee tents and peoples back gardens!
So before I show you the photos I want to extend a massive thanks to all my bride and grooms and my bride & brides. Thank you for choosing me and inviting me in on your biggest of days….and for feeding me! Thanks also to my second photographers and assistants – Alex, Josh, Petro, Steve C & Steve B. You’ve been immense! Last but by no means least the biggest hugs and thanks to my family, Nicola, Seb & Herbie for being my collective rock.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
