M y approach to family portraits is about capturing your family in the most natural way possible – their unique expressions, them being them, their belly laughs and the beautiful moments between each other. I create spontaneous and captivating portraits that tell a story and hold more memories than a contrived smile or grimace will ever do. That moment is everything but it is a fleeting one, one that needs to be captured in order to make it last forever.

Welcome to my unique style of Family Portraits and your first step towards getting those lovely natural, emotion and memory charged photographs of you and your loved ones that will be cherished forever more.

My eldest daughter said “We should have more fun days like that” and my youngest daughter’s smile told a story itself! Capturing moments in time of our family was what we wanted, Alistair caught those moments and surpassed our expectations.

Your Photoshoot

In actual fact it will hardly feel like a photoshoot, indeed I’m known for making it far more of an enjoyable family experience. Ensuring everyone, across all generations, has a fun, relaxing time with each other in an environment they feel secure in and even inspired by is key to creating a collection of photographs that you will be delighted with.

Having chosen me, and that would be a real honour, you just have 4 more simple choices to make:

1. Where?

Out on location or in the comfort of your own home. The choice is yours! It goes without saying that in order to really capture people at their best they need to feel comfortable and relaxed. Inspired even. Therefore owing to my featured photographer status I typically use the glorious gardens and parkland of either TYLNEY HALL HOTEL and BASING HOUSE. Both of these venues offer stunning backdrops, a sense of adventure to keep the little ones amused and are safe and secure. Alternatively the session can be conducted in the comfort of your OWN HOME & GARDEN, a favourite park or even the BEACH. The choice is only limited by our imaginations!

2. When?

Spring, summer, autumn, winter and every moment in between – I love it all. There really isn’t a ‘best time’ – the occasion may well be the most important factor. However, most of my clients don’t actually have any particular occasion in mind. They just want to have their family captured in the ‘here and now’ before time races on and they get even bigger! That said, anniversaries, birthdays, ‘children’ off to university or Christmas are all popular reasons for getting everyone together and capturing some lovely memories.

3. Who?

I’d love to meet you all. Everyone is welcome and I’m renowned for getting the best out of all types of people. The young and not so young will  have a great time.

Don’t forget that you can also bring your little one’s special Teddy and your dog too, if you have one.. Up to 12 people from the same family can be accommodated in the same session.

Fantastic photos and a brilliant session! Alistair, you made our little girls completely relaxed in front of the camera, and got photos of them and all of us that were exactly what we wanted, and far better than we hoped for.

4. Prints? Wall Art? Albums? Digital?

Just a little something to keep in mind: A fabulous experience and a collection of beautiful images are a given. What to do with the photographs is then totally up to you. But I’ll be able to help with a variety of products, from prints & digitals to stunning bespoke wall art & albums. These are all available to purchase individually or in collections. Please see here to explore all the package and product information.
