I originally met Clára & Jason over 2 years ago whilst I was photographing Clára’s friend Jess’s wedding. I think it was whilst I was trying to sort out the slideshow that I first got chatting with them. A couple of months later I was absolutely delighted to receive an email from them with the words ‘We really enjoyed meeting you and thought your pictures of Jess and Angelo’s wedding were beautiful’. After a couple of brief exchanges I suddenly had an awesome summer wedding at Old Luxter’s Barn to look forward to. Well, thanks to Covid the summer became the autumn but it was every bit as gorgeous as I knew it would be. And dare I say perhaps even more so thanks to the stunning autumnal colours on the vines and through the surrounding woodlands. Plus we were truly blessed with the most magnificent golden light that only autumn seems to deliver.

One of the loveliest moments, one that was actually a first for me to capture, was the ‘first look’ when Clára and Jason got to see each other before the ceremony. Standard practice in other countries such as the States, this is unique over here. It was just amazing to experience the tension and to see both of them as Clára made her way to a blindsided Jason.
